Dear Sirs, Dear Colleagues!

On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committee, I have a great pleasure and honor to invite you to participate in the 47th Convention for Polish Society of Otolaryngologists, Head and Neck Surgeons. The convention will be held in Szczecin, June 15-18, 2016.

As many colleagues remember The Clinic of Szczecin under the guidance of prof. Eugeniusz Ziętek who was the organizer of the 36th Congress of our Society in 1994r. The main topics were the issues of rehabilitation in otolaryngology, dysphagia and treatment of diseases of the paranasal sinuses. Proposed topics aroused the great interest, as evidenced by the notification of 320 scientific papers, a very large number of guests from Poland and abroad. During the Convention first experience in surgical rehabilitation of deafness with cochlear implants were presented

The subject of the current Convention is partly inspired by the issues discussed during the previous Convention. It includes the following topics: implantology in otolaryngology, advances in the treatment of cancer, hypopharynx and larynx, reoperations in otolaryngology, the treatment of inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and ENT problems on the borderline with other specialties. We hope that themes that we?ve proposed will also raise the interest on the Convention this time and encourage you to participate actively.

We have invited a number of Polish experts in the field of presented topics, not only of our specialties. Participation in the Convention also announced a number of foreign guests from major centers in Europe.

I hope that many panel sessions, lectures, plenary and workshops that we?ve predicted during the Convention will provide an opportunity to expand their knowledge, exchange experiences, present the results of their research. In the spare time you will be able to admire the beauty of our city.

Once again, I invite you to Szczecin in June 2016, just before the summer begins.
